Vintage Sleigh Mini Sessions are Waiting for You

Hi Everyone,

This Fall season has been a little strange to say the least, if you are anything like me I haven’t even thought about my own Fall family pictures because the tress are still so green and the weather so warm.

I did try to take my little guy out about two weeks ago to get some pictures of him by himself, but I clearly had him overdressed.  He had on the cutest Fall outfit, but it was so warm that by the time we got to the location he was undressing himself because he was so hot.  LOL…  But it’s the end of October… YIKES and Christmas cards will need to be done soon and I don’t have any pictures to use; note to self - schedule family pictures!

There is still time to squeeze Fall pictures into the schedule, however if you have officially decided Fall is not going to happen for you; I’ve got the perfect next best thing.  I’ve been very lucky and have teamed up with Hammar’s This and That’s who have an amazing vintage sleigh from the 1900’s that they are letting me host minis sessions with.  The sleigh was originally used at a winery from Glena, Illinois area, but it’s now located in Frankfort and will make the perfect setting for your holiday pictures.

I have two dates set aside just for you:

Friday, November 3rd     AND         Saturday, November 11th
3:00PM - 5:30 PM                            2:00PM - 4:30 PM

A rain date has been secured in the event the weather is not ideal on either of the first two dates. If it is not needed the date will be made available for anyone on the waiting list.

Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided to warm you up and keep your little ones occupied if you happen to arrive a little early.

After your session, have your little ones write a note to Santa and leave it in a special mail box marked for the North Pole.

... and then the magic happened....

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing another amazing senior.  When her mom asked if her daughter’s boyfriend could come along to the session and be used as a prop, I thought what a great idea!

Her whole session was amazing, the sun was perfect, the weather was amazing and she was absolutely stunning.  After getting a several shots of her by herself, I asked her boyfriend to stand about 10 feet behind her so I could get some shots of him in the distance and then brought him closer to get some of them together.   I wanted her to know that it was normal for me to have him standing behind her for some of her individual shots. 

So, when we moved over to our final location I asked her to stand on the bridge and said I was going to have her boyfriend stand about 10 feet behind her again...normal right since I had already done this once.  

What she didn’t know is that as she was walking over, I pulled him to the side and told him that I wanted him to stand behind her, I was going to take some shots of her by herself and then I was going to start a conversation about the fish in the water.  I told him “fish” was his key word that when he heard me say fish I wanted him to walk up behind her and whisper in her ear why he loves her.

And then the magic happened….  True, meaningful connections that you can’t pose

My Photography Journey

Hi everyone, I wanted to take a minute to reintroduce myself and fill you in on some of the exciting things I’ve been working on over the summer.  But before that I want to thank you for all your support over the last three as I’ve been working hard to create a photography business and brand I’m super proud of.  Although my journey really stared about eight years ago when my first son was about four years old, I didn’t really dive into creating a business until three years ago after my second son was born.

My love for photography started back when I was a little girl, my grandmother and aunt Bessie, were always running around taking pictures of us, most specially at dinner time just as we were eating!  We laughed about it at the time, but those are some of my favorite pictures to look back on and relive those cherished moments. 

They have both passed away since, but their legacy lives on.  Sometimes I’ll sit down with my boys to relive years gone by and they laugh at our hair styles and clothes, but what I love most is that they are able to see a little piece of my past and will have those photographs to pass on to their children.

While I don’t typically take pictures of people eating… anymore, you will always find me with a camera in hand at any given party.  I want to make sure to capture these moments of my kids and family so that they have their own pictures to look back on with their kids.  I want everyone to have these captured memories to hold onto and cherish which is why I started Cindy Deimling Photography, but I wasn’t always Cindy Deimling Photography, you might know me better as Captured Moments Photography by Cindy D. 

As I sit here now thinking about the past three years and how much I’ve grown and learned about the photography business, I’m thankful for some very wonderful people who have supported and mentored me.  I knew I wanted to build an awesome business so I’ve been taking my time and being methodical about all my steps. I took several classes to sharpen my sills and found a coach who was completely selfless, has amazing talent and a rock-solid business who loves to teach others.   If you have not heard of Amy Tripple at Amy Tripple photography you are truly missing out and I highly suggest checking out her work, you will just LOVE her!

The business name “Captured Moments Photography by Cindy D” was always a dream I had, however over the past year I’ve learned that in order to stand out a little further I really need to be a brand more specific to me, hence Cindy Deimling Photography.  I’m so excited to launch my new website and rename my Facebook and Instagram pages to reflect my new image.  I’ve worked hard to create something I’m so proud of and just bursting to share it with the world… so here it is… www.cindydeimlingphotography.com

Thank you to everyone who has supported and helped me get to where I am today, with almost 700 followers on Facebook, I’m humbled and excited to take Cindy Deimling Photography to the next level!
